an entrepreneurial, operational and advisory background
Jean-Michel T. Lorenzi, Founder & Managing Partner of Scyllage
Jean-Michel T. Lorenzi has built his career at the intersection of entrepreneurship, international business development, operational leadership and advisory roles. Before founding Scyllage, he held leadership responsibilities across growth, transformation and demanding commercial environments, particularly in information technology, enterprise software, services and internationally diverse organisations.
This experience brought him into direct contact with senior leaders, sales teams, technical functions, key accounts and organisations under strain: subsidiary creation, European market entry, revenue development, navigating high-stakes operational challenges, team structuring and complex project execution.
He created the French subsidiary of Kalido Ltd, a Royal Dutch Shell spin-off specialising in data warehousing and master data management, before heading the French operations of Formula Insurance Solutions Software Ltd, a Tel Aviv-based life-insurance software vendor, in a turnaround context, focused on operational recovery and rebuilding client confidence.
In 2000, he co-founded 2Be-fficient, an application services company developing executive dashboards to measure the quality of business-critical online services. In 2012, he co-founded FrontSwimmer, a SaaS solution designed to identify untapped development potential within organisations by analysing their capacity for collaborative innovation.
This background explains what distinguishes Scyllage: never treating a recruitment, integration or mobility decision as a purely HR matter. Behind a role to fill, an executive appointment or a senior leader’s next career step, there is always a decision-making context, execution constraints, power dynamics, behavioural expectations and conditions for success that need to be properly understood.
For more than ten years, Jean-Michel has advised companies, senior leaders, HR executives, executive committees and boards on executive decisions that matter: senior executive search, supporting leadership transitions, onboarding performance with DP [On]™, social and organisational diagnostics, GRI™ contextual behavioural reading and strategic executive mobility.
His approach combines the perspective of an executive search consultant, the experience of an operational leader and the discipline of advisory work: clarifying the real mandate, grounding assessments in evidence, reading the conditions for success, identifying risks of role mismatch and structuring senior-level conversations.
Scyllage is also a GRI™ Alliance Partner for the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. This alliance reflects a straightforward conviction: behaviours should not be assessed in isolation, but within a given role, team, mandate and environment.
Jean-Michel holds an engineering degree from École Spéciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP Paris), one of France’s leading grandes écoles.
